Laker Clay Target Shooting Adds Another Trophy

Mattoon, Ill.- The Lake Land College Clay Target Shooting Team completed the 5 Week season last week competing in the USA Clay Target League. Lake Land College adds another trophy to its shelf for the 3rd season in a row taking home the 2nd place Conference 3 trophy after being overtaken during week 4 by Bismarck State College (ND). The Lakers also had Austin Carlen gain an individual accolade as Tied for 2nd overall Male in Conference 3 with a 24.2 avg hitting 242 out of 250 targets for the season.

Next competition for the Lakers is the USA College Clay Target Nationals this weekend November 1st-3rd. Then team is scheduled to start shooting at 9am on field #9 at Brittany Shooting Park in Bunker Hill, Illinois on November 2nd and 3rd.

Highlights from Week 5 we had 1 25-straight shot by Jaxson Wilson. 3 members finished the season in the top 100 list Lucas Ruholl, Austin Carlen, and Ethan Heuerman. All of our team finished within the top 50% of all individuals competing in the USA College Clay Target League.
